How did you convince somebody to try Aurora?

That is so silly that I didn’t even check the stockpile.

You can’t send a mass driver packet without a receiving mass driver. Arriving without one is a bug. Any inbound ones should vanish if the last mass driver is removed.

I decided that hitting the planet was too harsh a penalty for a simple oversight, or more likely a lack of awareness of the consequences by a new player. Its easy to use SM mode to fix the fact you forgot a fire control in your design. It’s a lot messier to repair accidental mass driver damage.

Ah, so it is a bug then. I was wondering if this could be the intended consequence.

I think you should leave this behavior as is.

If you do decide to vanish arriving packets, it would be good to raise an event in the log. Silent failure is the worst.

I think it would be better a message warning that no mass driver is present at the receiving body, and no route will be possible towards it, until a MD is built there.

Happened to me a while back - holy €~€{*{?{? I’ve taken the last MD off earth and was waiting for the apocalypse then realised there were no incoming packets - so whilst the solution is sound I think there needs to be ‘this is the last ‘MD’ warning or something like that - I would imagine there will need to be all sorts of coding for places you actually want to take the last MD from like the start of the game and then complain to Steve you keep getting a last MD message

I’m a recent arrival to the game, but what little I understand so far doesn’t seem as complex as Gary Grigsby’s War in the East which I have tried to get into time and time again.
