build Fuel harvester. Make sure fuel tanks are empty. Place in orbit over a gas giant with Sorium ---

Its the same for orbital miners, once they are in orbit they do their thing ---

So automated in every sense of the word, just tanker it to colony. Looking at this bewildering game, I must have misjudged the only vessel in the game to not be micro-managed ---

Which vessel types are you micromanaging? There might be automation options that you don’t know about. ---

None so far. I’ve only been playing for a couple of weeks. I get as far as the harvesters and then I’m stuck, Standing order is go to source of Sorium and then … I don’t see another command to activate the collectors. It’s been doing my head. But with the labyrinth of commands I assumed there should be a start button. Thank you, maybe now I won’t run out of fuel. ---

You will still probably run out of fuel. Running out of fuel is very common ---

Although having a ship run out of fuel adds to the story. The Martian, but stranded in space. Especially if you have to quickly research and build a ship capable to rescue the crew before they all die. Happy memories!! 😃 ---

I’m assuming I have a continuing search for fresh fuel. I come from Distant Worlds, (not literally,) and there we have endless fuel at locations, and components are ready made. That and Stellaris are ‘arcade versions’ by comparison. I lose HOURS in this game, luckily I’m retired and not much else to do with my days 😁 ---
