I know that different admins have different ranges, and I was under the impression that improving your Naval HQ would somehow change that, but I could not find a proper answer here.
So my question is: what is the benefit of having more than one Naval HQ on the same planet?
Each “level” of naval HQ increases the distance your admin bonus extends by one system. As an example starting in Sol:
One naval HQ = level 1 = admin coverage in systems adjacent to Sol
2 HQ = level 2 = systems 2 away from Sol
4 HQ = level 3
8 HQ = level 4
Etc
Sector commands work the same way
And then specific types of admin get a bonus, e.g. patrol admin radius is doubled
