AUTO SAVES or the option to enable it

This has probably been suggested multiple times

Here is a situation

Imagine you’ve been playing the game for 5 hours then out of nowhere you loss power or the game crashes or the pc just decided to restart for no reason and now you lost all those 5 hours ,not that long right but that’s 5 hours that you’ve been basically doing nothing because all the progress has been gone but at least now you have a framework of what you were doing

This is the main reason why I save the game after every ship design change, project creation, or other more or less significant action.

Actually, as far as I know, during the VB6 era, the game immediately saved every action in the database. I think this would work great as an auto-save function (although it might slow down the game). In this case, the save button would work as creating a copy of the database.

Thankfully the saving after every action was removed that massively slowed down the game.

If a change were to be made I would prefer it to display in game when the last time it was saved was instead of saving automatically empower the player to make an informed choice. Perhaps even let the play have a warning at there option if more then a player specified period of time has gone by.

Timer on your phone or PC or even an egg timer on the desk also works to remind you. It can also help stop that thing happening where you wonder why someone has truck full beams pointed directly at your window or aliens are about to abduct you. Only to find out it is daylight and you played all through the night again. A loud alarm every 30 to 60 mins would soon have someone telling you to go to bloody bed.

I’ve added a last save time to the title bar

Any chance we could have the time as well as the date?

Not because, uh, I’m all that obsessive about saving often.
Asking for a friend of mine.

I’ve added the time
