Civilian shipping line “buyout” button

A button that takes wealth gives it more use to buyout either small or massive shipping

The idea is you gain some control of what they build like a check markers for all the ships that the civilians make

Don’t want them making space liners uncheck that box and have them only build colony ships or freighters or even fuel harvesters

I have a idea with fuel Harvesters they make why don’t you have the option to buy there fuel

This could also help minimize incremental as it will be possible to stop them making ships

I would also say that you can chose what ship the civilians use to build but that might just be annoying?

If you buy them out they still appear as civilian shipping lane just says something else (can’t think of something to distinguish from other shipping line

How’s this idea

I wonder if anyone thought of it?

Simply add (nationalised) to their name

I agree with some control over what ships classes they can build but agree they should be left to AI(civilian sector control)

Currently, we can toggle fuel harvesters.

With my current game, they have too many colonisers compared to frieghters.

So having some proportion control aswell (75% / 25%) would be useful

Also mining can be toggled.

Yes, you are correct

I didnt mention that as its not a ship but a fixed installation.

But yes, we can toggle these aspect, doing this for the other elements (colonisers, freighters, liners, etc) would be consistent and complete the options

In Ground Forces window, I would like to have a list of all the active units, and next to each of them where they are (body or ship).
An Order of Battle with a different ordering.
For example: I remember of having built some units, but now I can’t find them in the OoB. Maybe they were destroyed during a battle, or maybe I accidentally moved them within other units of higher rank.
With a full list of my units, I would be sure of what happened.
And also a list of the lost units would be nice indeed.

Do you have the location and ship checkboxes clicked?

Yes.
I would like something like this (names from your list):
FAB Cohors Fabri IX - Earth
FAB Cohors Fabri X - Earth
FAB I Cohors Fabri Aeterna - Earth
FAB II Cohors Fabri Aeterna - Earth
FAB I Cohors Fabri Invicta - Castra Invicta
FAB II Cohors Fabri Invicta - Castra Invicta

etc., in alphabetic order, or other orders that can be applied.

But if, instead of the previous list, I read a list like this
FAB Cohors Fabri IX - Earth
FAB Cohors Fabri X - Earth
FAB II Cohors Fabri Aeterna - Earth
FAB I Cohors Fabri Invicta - Castra Invicta
FAB II Cohors Fabri Invicta - Castra Invicta

I know that something happened to the FAB I Cohors Fabri Aeterna.

Could you add a “show empty” checkbox on the OOB tab to make colonies with no ground forces show up anyway?
As far as I know you can’t SM-move ground forces to an empty colony because it doesn’t show up in the list, you have to instant-construct a formation at the empty colony first. That’s an easy workaround but it still feels silly.

@AuroraSteve
What are your thoughts regarding the toggling of the different civilian types or control of the percentage of ships of each type within the shipping line, as described above?
Not controlling them but tailoring more to what the player requires.

In the “System Generation and Display” window, when the “All System View” is active, in the “Sort By” options, would it be possible to include also the ones “Inhabitants” and “Atmosphere”?

Suggestion deleted because already present.

It already does this.

I’m trying (both normal and SM mode), but it doesn’t work.
I meant, from the “Class Design” window.

It works from the Ships in Class tab.
You must be trying on the small list on the bottom right of the Class Design tab.

OK. It works from there.
Thanks. :slightly_smiling_face:

In the “Contacts” tab of the main window, would it be possible to add also the option “Lost Contacts 1 week” or “Lost Contacts 10 days”?
Information 1 month old can be too far, while IMO 1 week or 10 days can be more meaningful.

Can anyone confirm (and share) if there is a version of the Aurora patch + Solaris theme skin for Aurora v2.7.1 (the “full installation” from this forum)?

the research speed is perfect, at 1 its what I want and is good enough.

My suggestion is more about the pace of doomsday events, because that might not sync well with 1 research speed (the lowest research speed I can set it as) or even 5 maybe

if the sun cools 1% every year that’s pretty fast for research speed 1, if it could be like 0.1% every year maybe then it syncs better with 1 research speed, my comment was not summarized and to the point so sorry for that, and this is a small thing so it might not be worth the value of adding it but on the other hand it might be very easy with almost no risk to add “Sol Warming 0.1% Year” so maybe though it was worth mentioning it, its just a quick suggestion to try and add value to this game so I don’t expect it to be added or anything, just mentioning it.

I am thinking of continuing a old game where I lost a lot of progress because of it not saving it, so was depressed lol but will now try to continue the game and if I can think of good suggestions will add them here.

Add a checkbox in research tab, to research next tier of project upon completion. Or a new project will populate the list, so that you could queue the 14 cm laser focal size while researching the 12 cm one, for example.
