You are thinking of the tactical battle as the core of the game and therefore it should be more detailed.

Firstly, Aurora is an operational and strategic game, not a tactical one, so the modelling of crew is at the level of total crew, casualties, etc. plus the capabilities of the officers.

I’ve deleted the ‘what kind of person’ thread, which is effectively a copy of this and really just a long diatribe by the OP because he can’t comprehend why some people like Aurora.

Are the ship battles extremely tactical like Eve online?

Thank you to all that answered my question without prejudice. I really appreciate it. I loved Aurora4x too. But hard questions are the way for the community, and the game to grow and become better.
