Hello, in my current game that I’ve been playing for about 150 years ingame for some reason has decided to generate over 4 different swarm species. It’s gotten to the point where I’d rather just get rid of them with cheats instead of dealing with it. They keep popping up in different systems even when there shouldn’t be any way of reaching them (that I know of) without me detecting them.
Is there any hope for my save or am I going to be fighting a galactic-scale game of hide and seek with these damned bugs ?
You have to go to war. You can remove the flag to the spoiler generation though, so once you exterminate your issue, it won’t reappear again.

Retreat is not an option.

Only way to remove them is to manually edit the database itself which can be risky. But if you’re sufficiently fed up that you’re about to throw the towel in the ring anyway, then you might as well risk fiddling with the database.
As Froggy said, turn off spoilers in the game settings and then go fight the existing ones, at least once they are gone, there won’t be anymore.

If you are playing with Enhanced Swarm, they can generate their own systems to appear in and spread without you knowing they exist.

I’m not, that’s the weird thing. My current guess as to what is happening is that they are transitting through systems I haven’t explored yet there by seemingly coming from nowhere.
Since there isn’t a clean way of deleting them I’ll just deal with it the old-fashioned way
