Quick Suggestions

Yes, that’s what I mean, sorry if it wasn’t clear from my post.

How about make fuel harvesting as “remains until complete or interrupt” type of order like survey instead “drop on orbit and forget” system? I conserve sorium from normal mines and use fuel harvesters as one and only source of fuel and hate unstopable interupts from “Fuel harvester has completed orders. Orbiting planet.” after each fuel-unload trip (usually 1-2 interrupts per month and i still have miniscule amount of harvesters).
And i don’t want disable all other “orders completed” interrupts, so this upcoming feature will be useless for this goal.

There’s a perfectly good solution and it will even make your logistics more efficient. Use harvester stations and a dedicated tanker(s) to transport the fuel.

Still i prefer sefl-propelled harvesters with 6,100 speed. Otherwise single raider gunship easily destroys it.

My friend, if the gas giant has a moon close enough, put STO on it to guard your harvesters. If there are no moons, then put a couple of ships to guard them with long endurance. Or even a defence base/station. Having harvesters with 6,100 speed is extremely inefficient. You are making your life unnecessarily difficult!

My friend, i do not blame you for your love for exhausting micromanagement, but stop to indoctrinate me to love it too.

a deployment of 120-240 months military stations protects my harvester stations without chipping at my sanity

Would it be possible to refresh a window when the focus is set on it?
E.g., the Galactic Map, as the changing fleets positions, and the Commanders window, 'cause new officers are often generated.

I suggest a new installation that reduces the overall detectability of the colony up to a certain limit. They should be fairly expensive, but they would allow for you to set up “Secret” asteroid/comet bases in enemy territory that can be used as small maintenance/refueling/rearming stations.

I believe the ability to set up forward supply caches that are difficult to detect, along with “Spy” Bases for cloaky spy ships would be an interesting addition to the game.

I support this.
This new installation seems to me similar to the previous Low Gravity Infrastructure, but the use would be very different. And this one could somehow counterbalance the recent behaviour of NPRs against the neutral probes.
Possibly, may I extend it suggesting a new tech line that let us apply cloacking (or stealthiness) to all the installations (obviously, at a higher cost of fabrication)?

Add buttons like “Generate Asteroid Belt” (average orbital distance, number of asteroids, 0 = random number) and “Generate Comets Cloud” an option for generating a fixed or random number of comets.
The reasons:

  1. These are tedious to add manually currently.
  2. Small bodies are one of the things that make Aurora space special - sometimes it’s desired to add more and more.

I could swear the asteroid belt is already a thing..

i stand correct

Ooops. Missed the option somehow. Thanx!

Add way to change colony specie (if zero without SM or anytime with SM or both ways) or directly create new colony on same body without delete previous. Now i bypass it by SM creating 1m pop and 1 gen centre to autogenerate new colony and transfer installations, but it’s hassle.

SJW: You can already create multiple colonies without deleting the existing one.

EDIT: FOUND, THX.

But how? I can’t find any way to do it. In economic and naval window there is no such button if i select body with existing colony and in “System Generation and Display” window this button simple doing nothing (in SM mode too). Wiki and google give unrelevant info too. :frowning:
For example, wiki says: “Right-click the planet on the map, then select “New Colony” from the populations sub-menu.” But there is no such submenus. And no any submenu if i RMB on uncolonized planet.

also, when i click “Create Colony” i can’t select specie and can’t unload modified colonist on colony with default specie.

That Wiki advice is for the old VB6 version of Aurora.

Some upgrades to the ruler feature ( shift + lmb and drag ) would be cool - different colours, ability to draw shapes, mulitple lines etc.

And for the love of god move the number to the side or up/down a bit because mouse cursor obstructs it most of times..

Add a blinking game icon in the system tray when an Interrupt event occurs.

This will help you avoid wasting time over some minor event after just a couple of hours of game turn while you’re reading the wiki or writing a new suggestion on the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:
