The time interval has automatically dropped to 5 sec with a message about imminent combat or contact. I don’t see any other ships on my system map ( except civilian NPC’s doing trade ) and I have no combat ships as still very early in game. Any tips as to getting through this slow down or how to find out exactly ships are affected.
Some NPRs are very probably battling somewhere, outside your explored systems.
Aurora manages these situations reducing the time-step, allowing the NPRs the same mechanics of the human player.

Thanks for the reply. So basically I just have to keep “clicking” though it ?
I don’t remember if activating the autoturn (the first icon at the right) could be enough, or if this one is a message/event that halts the time flow anyway.
Click the autoturn in this case, usually it resolves after a bit.

Make sure you have not forgotten to turn a fire control off on one of your ships.
